Let me start with who, I am Annemarijn, 21 years old, student of Communication sciences, but most of all I am a designer. Ever since I was ten years old I have known I wanted to be a designer. At eighteen I went to a design school which I was unable to graduate from. During that time I did figure out what to me was most important in a product; It has to put a smile on your face.

That brings me to what, with Anama I aspire to create products that can make you smile. Cheerful, durable products for children as well as for adults which are cute, can amaze you and make you smile. At the moment the collection consists of crocheted softies (amigurumi). I am working hard on expanding my collection with new designs and products.

That leaves the question why do I make these products? When I walk through a store or exhibition room I sometimes smile unintentionally while looking at a design. I love that a product can do that and I hope my products can do the same.
